Annual Civic Association Dues
Civic Association Dues are payable beginning June 1st every year. Our fiscal year runs from June 1st to May 31st. Dues for 2026-2027 are $40.00 per household. Annual Senior Dues (65+ to 79 years of age) are $20 per year per Senior household, and the Civic Association will not collect any dues from our Special Seniors who are 80 years of age and above.
The payment categories will be determined by the “ownership” status as listed in the NCC Parcel listing. Please note that some households have multiple generations living together. If the owner is a senior citizen, they are entitled to pay the discounted senior rate. However, if the owners are less than 65 years of age, but seniors are living with them, they are considered “standard” residents and they need to pay the $40.00 annual dues.
See below for options on how to submit your dues payment.
1.Why should I pay my civic association dues?
- Your dues help pay for community services and activities. Services such as snow removal and the trash can at the Springer School bridge.
- Your dues also support all of our community events at Goodley Park. If we could get more neighbors to pay their share of the dues, we could schedule more family events and offer extra services such as leaf pick-up in the Fall.
- Lastly, your dues pay for Civic Association Insurance, printing, mailing and other office expenses.
- Why did we have to increase our dues? Our dues were the lowest in the whole of New Castle County, especially within the Brandywine Hundred, for over 20 years. We needed to increase dues to cover the higher rates and fees for snow plowing services, insurance, mailing and printing. Please help us pay for the services we arrange to ensure everyone's safety in our community. Thanks for all your support.
